WHY BOUDOIR?
WHY NOT?!

Boudoir has been around for a long time but has gotten a bad wrap because of several factors including the cheesy, "glowy" images forever burned in our minds (Glamour Shots, anyone?), the strange and sometimes vulgar poses, and let's not forget the amount of cringe-worthy male photographers who were of course so eager to photograph these sessions. Ugh, SCARY!!
These days, Boudoir has received a face lift, and is slowly gaining acceptance around the world. Now it's more of a high-fashion shoot, and is DEFINITELY a major confidence booster.
I was recently interviewed by WYFF Channel 4 in Greenville, SC about my boudoir photography, and was thrilled over the positive response I received! So the moral of the story is Boudoir isn't pornographic. It's not vulgar. It's tasteful, empowering images that allow women to see themselves as beautiful, just the way they are.
The decision to have a boudoir session is a brave and empowering one. The initial misconception is assuming you have to be a waif-thin and have flawless features, which is crazy! The women in this gallery are all shapes and sizes, and most don't wear makeup on a daily basis. Some of them had no faith in themselves, or the fact that I could bring out their natural AMAZINGNESS. I think you may disagree!
The point is, it's not about looking like something you're not. It's about bring brave, embracing what you ARE, and falling in love with yourself all over again.

A boudoir session is the perfect idea for so many occasions:
- a gift to your hubby-to-be the night before the wedding
- anniversary or birthday surprise for your sweetie
- rewarding yourself after reaching a weight loss goal
- celebrating being single and fabulous (again)
- milestone birthday
- no reason at all- just simply because you're awesome!
